Episode 122: A 76 Year Old Fashion Model on a Mission with Carolyn Doelling

It’s never too late to explore your passions with swagger and sass.

Women over 50 often find that they are suddenly invisible.  It’s common to feel suddenly undesirable.  What’s worse is the feeling that people don’t think you have anything to offer.   

At 76 years old, Carolyn Doelling has become a fashion model, a writer, a speaker. 

 After retiring from her corporate career she realized that people’s perception of her had changed. She felt like she was being written off. She started embracing more color and style in her wardrobe in order to combat the invisibility of being an older woman and found herself on a mission.   

She started modeling at the age of 70!  Through her work as a model, she encourages women to embrace their style, grace and power at any age. She also recently started kickboxing and cycling.  She had a long corporate career, raised her kids and worked in fundraising for philanthropic organizations.

Modeling wasn’t even on her radar…until it was. She’s a great example of someone who believes it’s never too late to explore your passions.
