In this episode, we’re talking about how to slow down to speed up and get off the hamster wheel of life.
Do you ever feel like you’re being pulled in a hundred different directions and it’s all too much to handle? If so, you’re not alone. Many of us in midlife feel overwhelmed and burned out from trying to balance our work and personal lives. It’s important to remember that self-care is key in these situations.
Joining us on the podcast this week is my friend, Denise Millet, a Marketing Technology Specialist and host of the weekly show “Marketing Matters”.
She shares how she gave too much of herself in her last job and ignored the warning signs that her body was sending until she couldn’t ignore them anymore. She learned the hard way that grinding and not getting enough rest was making her sick.
After taking a year to recover, she now runs her own business on her own terms helping entrepreneurs and business owners make sure their websites, blogs, and podcasts are findable on search engines. She is now able to make her work fit her lifestyle rather than the other way around.
Self-care isn’t selfish, it’s necessary. Taking the time to do something for yourself helps to recharge and refocus your energy so that you can be more productive in other areas of your life.
