Embracing Change and Aging Boldly

Life has a way of throwing unexpected challenges our way.

For Debbie McCulloch, loss has been a defining part of her journey as she’s aged. She lost her parents too soon, endured the unimaginable tragedy of her sister’s murder, and, more recently, faced the death of her husband. Through it all, she found herself asking a deeply personal question: Who am I now?

That question became the catalyst for reinvention. Instead of letting grief define her, Debbie chose to step into a new chapter of life—one filled with purpose, passion, and a deep appreciation for aging. She launched Older and Bolder, a podcast dedicated to celebrating the opportunities that come with growing older and embracing life’s ever-evolving journey.

Aging as a Privilege, Not a Limitation

Debbie’s perspective on aging is a refreshing counterpoint to the negativity that often surrounds getting older. After losing loved ones too soon, she sees every year as a gift. Instead of dreading aging, she encourages us to lean into it, embrace change, and recognize the freedom that comes with experience and wisdom.
